Mano Jazz Guitar

The first model of mano jazz guitar was presented as a premiere at the Issoudun festival in October 2014.

I had wanted to make a jazz guitar for quite a few years but obviously without reproducing an existing model. I also noted that Mario Maccaferri was inspired by quartet violin making to design some of his guitars. So I took inspiration from my own work on bowed instruments (tone bar and soul)… The internal top is not attached on the sides, which allows it to vibrate like a string and not like a skin. The rope attachment system will certainly be improved to create even more vibration on the external table. I am very satisfied with the sound of this instrument and it is likely that I will apply this idea to the classical guitar, the bouzouki, the mandolin, and, why not, the bass!
