Cello Sazouk

I just felt like enlarging the range of the bouzoukis and created a “sazouk” (a combination of the Turkish saz and the Greek bouzouki), on whick a low C string could be put like on a cello!
As for me, I play it in CGDG tuning, whick gives me very deep drones in C or G. So that I could use only guitar strings, I had to make a longer scale: 786 mm. It’s also possible to tune it like an octave mandolin in GDAE which allows to get wonderfully sounding bass strings thanks to the body and the soundboard (it’s made of high quality spruce). Back and sides are made of walnut wood, fingerboard made of purpleheart wood, neck made of maple.
